Grass-fed Beef

Are you looking for a leaner beef option? Are you looking to fill your freezer with local, delicious, grass-fed beef. You are in the right place!

How We Raise Our Beef

Our steers are raised on our natural pastures. We never spray or use synthetic fertilizers (we have cows/pigs/chickens for that). They are proof that salads can make you fat as they grow to 1,200 to 1,400 pounds just eating grass in the spring, summer, and fall, then hay in the winter from the same pastures they graze. We rotationally graze our pastures, meaning we give the cows smaller sections at the time, moving them often. This helps our cattle get all parts of the grass (not just pick their favorites) and for the health of our pastures (giving it a break when needed.)

We buy our steers from local dairy farmers that we trust when they are calves. We raise them on our goat milk until they are ready to transition to their grass only diet.

Animal Handling

In addition to environmental sustainability, proper animal handling is one of the most important things to us on our farm. We both have our Proper Animal Handling Certification and Beef Quality Assurance Certification.

How to Get Our Grass-fed Beef

Our grass-fed beef is sold in bulk - 1/4 and 1/2 options. We currently only raised 2-3 a year, so reserve now before the spots are filled.

Not sure how much meat 1/2 or 1/4 steer will get you?
