Each Thursday morning, our family farm in Lonsdale, MN transforms into a playful, welcoming space for little ones ages 0–6 and their caregivers. Explore the Frontier Playgroup is more than just a playdate—it’s a chance to slow down, sip coffee, snuggle baby goats, and watch your child explore the simple magic of farm life. Our play area is set up in the cozy upstairs of our 1800s barn, with space for climbing, pretending, and discovery—rain or shine.

We believe childhood should be rooted in nature and community. Every week includes open-ended play, time with farm animals, and a casual parenting chat inspired by topics like Last Child in the Woods and the real-life joys and challenges of raising kids outdoors. Whether you drop in for a single visit or join us monthly, you’ll leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and more connected—to your little ones and to others walking the same path.
