While touring the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis, the director said that there is one patient who only likes strawberries and bacon after his treatments, but no one donates bacon. As a former Ronald McDonald house resident myself*, I showed up the next day with 10 pounds of our pasture raised bacon.
Now we want to partner with you to donate even more! For every 1 pound of bacon donated, we will match with 1 more pound! So you can donate only $14 and give 2 pounds of delicious bacon to people going through some of the hardest moments of their life.
We will deliver the bacon at the end of each month while on our normal delivery route.
*Our oldest son Cooper was born 2 months premature. Due to the fact that we lived in the middle of South Dakota at the time, the nearest NICU was 3 hours away from home. I was extremely fortunate to stay in a Ronald McDonald House in Sioux Falls during his 32 day hospital stay. We estimate that they saved us close to $10,000 during that time; not to mention the piece of mind they gave me to have a quiet place to sleep and a warm, normal shower to take respite in (verses the loud NICU room with a tiny couch and a shared hospital showers or an extremely large hotel room bill.)
Please note, you are not buying bacon for yourself. You are spending $14 for 2 pounds of bacon to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House on Oak Street in Minneapolis. This is while supplies last.
If you would like to make a larger donation to the Ronald McDonald House and maybe partner with us to give more, please reach out to me, Maggie, at newfrontierfarms.mn@gmail.com.
