Our Christmas Favorites

This year we decided to make our holiday favorites for our neighbors and I thought you would all enjoy the recipes too!

Third, we made chocolate covered pretzels this year - so good and easy! We just microwave almond bark for 1 minute, stir, 30 seconds more, stir and a final 30 more seconds in the microwave. Then just drop pretzels into almond bark, make sure they get fully coated. Remove them by using two forks, passing the pretzel back and forth to get the access chocolate off. Place them on wax paper and sprinkle. Let them cool before removing from the wax paper. Use Christmas shaped pretzels for extra fun!

Next, we tried a new recipe and it has quickly become a favorite - pretzels topped with rolos! Lay pretzels on a cookie sheet. Top each one with a rolo. Place in a 250 degree oven for 3-5 minutes. When you take them out, top each with an m&m. We cooled them in the fridge, but you can leave them out to cool too.

Last but certainly not least, oreo balls! Blend up an entire container of oreos until they are completely broken apart and are a dirt like consistency. Pour them into a mixing bowl and mix in 8 oz of cream cheese. Roll them into balls and stick them in the fridge or freezer until they are cold. Melt almond bark (just like we did for the chocolate covered pretzels.) Let the melted almond bark cool slightly (if it is too hot, the ball will start to fall apart). Completely coat them and lay them on wax paper to harden. Ours don't look perfect, but they sure taste amazing!

We hope you enjoy our delicious holiday treats as much as we do! Let us know what you think in the comments!
