Cheddar Together: A Mom & Me Farm Adventure
Join us for a one-of-a-kind afternoon designed for moms and kids ages 6 and up! This special event combines hands-on farm fun with a kid-friendly cheese pairing experience led by two passionate farm women.
We’ll begin with a guided farm tour at 1:00 PM, where families can meet our playful goats, enjoy a horse ride (weather dependent), and get up close with a dairy cow.
Then we will settle in for a cheese pairing class with Christine Leonard of The Grater Good. Each parent and child will receive their own tasting plate and learn together how cheese makes its journey from cow to curd to plate. The event wraps up with time to shop our farm store, featuring pasture-raised meats, soaps, and Christine’s curated cheeses to take home.
This is more than just a farm visit — it’s a chance to slow down, learn, and create lasting memories side by side.
As a mom, I, Maggie, love being able to offer opportunities for moms to get that one on one time they crate with their favorite little humans. My son and I are very excited to attend Christine’s cheese class as well!
Tickets are required to attend. Tickets are limited and may sell out so get your tickets soon.

Meet Your Hosts:
About Christine Leonard – The Grater Good
Christine Leonard is the sixth generation dairy farming on her family's sesquicentennial farm near Waconia, MN. Their farm is also the home of her cheese business, The Grater Good. While Christine doesn't make her own cheese (yet!), she works with artisan producers in Minnesota and throughout the Midwest to create cheese platters, teach cheese education classes, and sell wedges through her new micro cheese shop, located right on the farm. She loves using cheese to tell the story of local agriculture.
About Maggie Stensaas – New Frontier Farms
Maggie grew up on her family’s small beef cattle farm in Lakeville, MN, where she first fell in love with cows and the rhythm of farm life. She went on to study Dairy Production and Speech Communication at South Dakota State University, where she met her husband Nick, who shared her dream of raising cattle and caring for the land. Together, they bought New Frontier Farms in May of 2020, where they now raise beef cattle, dairy goats, horses, and more while raising their three boys. At New Frontier Farms, Maggie is passionate about connecting families with delicious, nutrient-dense food and creating meaningful community experiences right on the farm.
